Bruxism – Tooth Grinding and Clenching
Bruxism – S4S Raising Awareness for Sufferers of Bruxism
From the 24th – 30th October 2011, dentists up and down the country will be raising awareness of bruxism (Tooth grinding and clenching) in order to highlight a condition that can bring misery to sufferers, yet often goes undiagnosed.
This will be the second Bruxism Awareness Week and, after the success of last year’s inaugural event, Bruxism Awareness Week sponsors S4S hope to raise the profile of the condition, whilst raising money for Help 4 Heroes.
Help 4 Heroes is a charity dedicated to offering aid to those wounded in Britain’s conflicts and, as many service men and women suffer from bruxism, S4S is proud to offer its support of this worthy cause.
Dental practice who want to participate in this year’s event, can order a free Bruxism Awareness pack from S4S, which includes promotional and marketing material designed to help raise awareness among patients.
If you have patients presenting with migraines, TMD, neck pains and sleep disorders in conjunction with specific dentition wear, they may be suffering from bruxism. You can help by supporting Bruxism Awareness Week and helping to bring simple and effective relief to your patients.
